Weekly at Noon on Wednesday
January 25, 2006

The fried chicken is great down in the Quarter. Nothing like it crispy and hot.

The destruction of the city is extensive and wide spread, the social fabric is torn, life is not normal.

There is no normal anymore in New Orleans.

The suicide rate is very high, mental illness has increased, people are eating and drinking like there is no tomorrow.
There may not be.

Next week will be again on New Orleans.
Katrina, Katrina, Katrina

The story is too big. I can't get my mind around the fact that 350,000 people have left their homes. There are too many stories of suffering. It is more than we can take in, it is more than we can truly understand. The leaders have yet to emerge. The politicians are confused and nervous. They should be.

The power from the Hurricane continues to effect us.

Next week is more from New Orleans.
